Our Team

Published and maintained by the CarportBay Editorial Team. Last updated .

CarportBay is written and reviewed by the CarportBay Editorial Team, not individual bylined writers. Every page across the site carries this one byline, built and checked the same way, so the site reads as one consistent, accountable source rather than a collection of unrelated posts.

Why One Byline, Not Individual Writers

Many sites in this space attach an individual name and credential to each article. We deliberately don't. A single named entity, reviewed and maintained to one standard, is harder to game with an inflated or borrowed credential, and it means every page on the site, not just the ones with an impressive-sounding byline, gets the same review. The tradeoff is that you can't look up one specific person; what you can do instead is check the sources we cite directly.

How Every Page Gets Reviewed

Before any page publishes, it goes through the same five-step sequence:

  • Source verification: every figure is checked against manufacturer specs, code tables, and keyword/volume data.
  • Code-citation check: any wind, snow, or permit figure is matched to its specific code edition and jurisdiction.
  • Manufacturer-neutrality check: no page favors a specific manufacturer or dealer.
  • Freshness tagging: the page is classified Evergreen, Seasonal, or QDF (quick, time-sensitive update) and given a last-reviewed date.
  • Internal-link check: the page follows CarportBay's own URL and linking structure.

Page templates are also scanned for accessibility before they ship, as described in our Accessibility Statement.

A Higher Bar for Permits and Code Content

Content covering installation, permits, and certification carries the highest accuracy bar on the site. Every wind-load, snow-load, and permit-threshold figure in that content cites its specific ASCE 7 or IBC code edition and jurisdiction, is independently re-derived from primary source data rather than copied from a competitor or dealer site, and is reviewed on the shortest refresh cycle on the site.

Scaling the Team

As CarportBay grows, additional editorial and subject-matter review capacity is planned under this same CarportBay Editorial Team entity and standards, rather than splitting into separate individual bylines. This is a stated direction for how the team will grow, not a change that has happened yet. Guest pieces are the one exception to the single byline; they carry the contributor's own name, and the terms are on Write for Us.
