What "Sale/Sharing" Means for CarportBay
CarportBay does not sell personal information for money. When you submit a quote-request form, we share the details you provide with the dealer, installer, or manufacturer partner best suited to your request, and we receive compensation for that referral. Several state privacy laws treat this kind of referral, where we receive something of value in exchange for sharing your information, as a "sale" or "share" even though no money changes hands for the data itself. This page is where you can opt out of that.
What This Covers
This opt-out applies to the contact and project information CarportBay would otherwise share with Home Depot Installation Leads, Modernize, and Angi/HomeAdvisor when you submit a quote-request form, and to any targeted advertising based on that information. It does not apply to a click on an outbound affiliate link (Amazon, Wayfair, or The RTA Store), since CarportBay does not collect or transmit your personal information as part of that click in the first place.
Your Opt-Out Options
If you opt out below, we will not share your information with our lead-referral partners going forward. This does not affect a quote request you have already submitted and that has already been shared.
How Global Privacy Control Is Honored
Where required by law, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information, without you needing to submit the form below separately. GPC is a setting available in some browsers and browser extensions that broadcasts your opt-out preference automatically to every site you visit.
Response Timeframe
We process opt-out requests within the timeframe applicable state law requires, generally within 45 days. You, or someone you authorize to act on your behalf, can submit a request.
